Resumen

La expansión de la inteligencia artificial generativa (IAG) ha introducido nuevas posibilidades para automatizar tareas rutinarias de diseño didáctico, producir borradores de actividades, formular instrumentos de evaluación y adaptar recursos a diferentes perfiles de aprendizaje. En Ecuador, estas posibilidades adquieren especial interés porque la planificación microcurricular constituye el tercer nivel de concreción del currículo y es responsabilidad directa del profesorado de Educación General Básica (EGB). El objetivo de este artículo es analizar las oportunidades, los desafíos y la evidencia disponible sobre el uso de IAG en la planificación microcurricular, con énfasis en su potencial para optimizar el tiempo sin deteriorar la calidad pedagógica. Se realizó una revisión integrativa y documental de 30 fuentes científicas e institucionales publicadas principalmente entre 2019 y agosto de 2026, complementadas con documentos normativos y marcos fundacionales anteriores cuando resultaban indispensables. La síntesis identifica cuatro hallazgos centrales: (1) existe evidencia experimental de reducción del tiempo de preparación cuando la IA se utiliza como asistente acotado; (2) la calidad de los resultados depende de la especificidad del contexto, la calidad del prompt y, sobre todo, de la validación docente; (3) persisten riesgos de inexactitud, alucinaciones, escasa contextualización, sesgos y débil alineación con principios de inclusión; y (4) la alfabetización en IA, el juicio pedagógico y las reglas institucionales son condiciones necesarias para una integración responsable. En el ensayo aleatorizado de mayor escala localizado, 259 docentes redujeron aproximadamente 31 % el tiempo semanal de preparación de clases y recursos sin detectarse diferencias de calidad entre grupos
