Resumen

Las disfunciones del suelo pélvico afectan al 25%-45% de la población femenina, con impacto en la calidad de vida. La neuromodulación periférica (NP) ha emergido como estrategia complementaria al entrenamiento de los músculos del suelo pélvico (EMSP), mediante la estimulación del nervio tibial posterior (PTNS), la estimulación electromagnética de alta intensidad (HIFEM) y la electroestimulación con biofeedback ¿Cuál es la evidencia entre 2022 y 2026 sobre la efectividad de la neuromodulación periférica en la rehabilitación del suelo pélvico? Analizar la evidencia entre 2022 y 2026 sobre la efectividad de la neuromodulación periférica en la rehabilitación del suelo pélvico, identificar avances por categoría de intervención y proyectar perspectivas clínicas. Revisión narrativa integrativa con método Prisma 2020. Se buscó en PubMed, Scopus, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, PEDro y Google Académico (enero 2022–junio 2026). Calidad de estudios experimentales evaluada con JADAD. Se incluyeron 40 artículos de 28 revistas indexadas. Se identificaron cuatro categorías: estimulación del nervio tibial posterior (PTNS/TTNS), neuromodulación magnética de alta intensidad (HIFEM/ExMI), electroestimulación con biofeedback electromiográfico y abordajes combinados. La PTNS redujo episodios de incontinencia fecal y vejiga hiperactiva. La HIFEM superó al EMSP convencional en incontinencia urinaria (−15,2 puntos ICIQ-LUTSqol, p < 0,05). El 66,7% alcanzó alta calidad JADAD (≥ 3/5). La neuromodulación periférica ofrece evidencia creciente para las disfunciones del suelo pélvico. La PTNS y la HIFEM presentan mayor respaldo empírico. Los abordajes combinados con EMSP supervisado potencian resultados. Se requieren ensayos con mayor tamaño muestral y validación latinoamericana
